Movie Review: “The Devil Wears Prada”

March 8, 2007

devilwearsprada.jpgThe first thing I, and probably most guys, thought of when they heard the title of this movie was “chick flick”. It may be geared towards women, but it’s actually a pretty good movie. Meryl Streep is incredible in her role as “Miranda Priestly”. Miranda is the editor-in-chief of fashion magazine “Runway”, based on real life magazine “Vogue”. She is as difficult as a boss can get, always demanding perfection, and no matter what, nothing you can do is good enough. Anne Hathaway is great in her role as well, as the awkward geeky girl who gets a job as Miranda’s assistant. It’s a funny, well-done movie that I would recommend, especially to any guy who wants to get some brownie points for watching a chick flick with your girlfriend/wife. Because the funny thing is, you’ll probably like it just as much as her.

My Rating: 8/10

  1. I didn’t like this film, it seemed more of a TV drama than a movie to me. Started off as a nice idea but it seemed not to have any real point to it. Despite some funny moments, overall I was disppointed.

  2. who cares how it was, I love anne
